LOGOS AND COLOR
RED - generally an attractive, energetic and powerful color used in logos of brands belonging to the food, health, beauty and entertainment industries.
ORANGE- shares much of the same meaning as red, but is a little bit more subtle. ... Being a citrus color, orange is also shown to stimulate appetite. It is also a playful color that appeals well to a younger audience. Because of this, orange is most often used in logos that market food and toys.
YELLOW- Represents: Happiness, Warmth, Innovation and Caution. Yellow is a warm color that invokes the feeling of happiness, warmth and relaxation. Generally it doesn't play a central role in logos and is sparingly used to highlight important features of a logo.
GREEN- Harmony, Natural, Healthy, Renewal and Plentiful. Green is mainly used to represent eco-friendly companies or businesses revolving around agriculture, recycling, landscaping, gardening and solar power. It is the color of nature and gives a calming effect while representing growth.
BLUE- Corporate logos are often blue, especially when the company specializes in technology. A blue color scheme is used in many corporate logos because itsmeaning evokes a feeling of professionalism and loyalty. ... Seeing the color blue creates a calming effect, and it's the overall most popular “favorite color.”
PURPLE -Represents: Royalty, Luxury, Celebration, Education and Elegance. Being a color of royalty, purple is mostly used to represent religious institutes and educational organizations. It is seldom used for commercial services, unless it can clearly represent the main essence of the company it stands for.
BLACK - Represents: Authority, Power, Mystery, Boldness, Elegance and Sophistication. Black is used to commonly target youth and a high-end audience. It creates a mystery while representing power, authority and elegance in the logo.
WHITE- a neutral color that implies purity. It is also the essential color in negative spacing logos. The FedEx and the Adobe logo make the best use of white. FedEx has a white arrow while the 'A' in Adobe is designed in white over a red background.
INSPIRATION
For this project I want to go for a simplistic but heart warming logo. Our company is a dog rescue and our plan is to give every dog a home. I think color wise I want to gear towards orange, and purple because of two reasons one cause of the meanings behind the colors and they're also common in animal rescue logos.(inspo to the left and below)
DOGS-RESCUE-FOUNDATIONS
A lot of dog rescue foundations focus mainly on adoption,
our CBO we want to be focused on multiple facets of a
dog rescue.
-dog adoption
-the dog's well-being and happiness
-dog's and how beneficial they are to a person's everyday life
DEFINITION OF ANIMAL RESCUE-
An animal rescue group or animal rescue organization is dedicated to pet adoption. These groups take unwanted, abandoned, abused, or stray pets and attempt to find suitable homes for them. Many rescue groups are created by and run by volunteers, who take the animals into their homes and care for the including training, playing, handling medical issues, and solving behavior problems until a suitable permanent home can be found.
How Dogs are Beneficial to US
Dogs provide companionship and company. They can be a comfort to people who crave unconditional interaction with another living being. Dogs can decrease levels of human loneliness and give humans a sense of purpose as they care for their animal companions.
Our CBO Goal
+We want to increase the adoptions in the state of New Jersey. Approximately 3.2 million shelter animals are adopted each year (1.6 million dogs and 1.6 million cats). About 710,000 animals who enter shelters as strays are returned to their owners. Of those, 620,000 are dogs and only 90,000 are cats.
- Hand N Paw wants to mainly focus on dogs and their wellbeing
- The dog's happiness and health is our goal
- Giving dogs a good home and promoting our adoptions by bringing our available dogs to nursing homes, parks, and anywhere else where family would be.
